Week 10 - #NO_SHORTCUTS_ALLOWED

The Double Diamond methodology is an revolutionary method in the product development world.

This week, we would like to share what is like being in the Develop part while feeling like we stuck in the Define part of the first diamond. Spoiler alert - It's VERY confusing!

In the last week, when we decided that we need to change our thinking process, we had to consult with our MiLab mentors and try to think about a more realistic solution. We know that we have some limitations we need to think about while developing a product in order to help our specific main audience to reach higher amounts of emotional well-being.

At first, we understood people in the ages between 40 to 50 feels like they are not fulfilling themselves. This need still didn't focus us on a good solution, so we thought about it deeper and understood that braking routine is a good way to help people feel happier. Want to guess what we found out next? You are right! it's still too wide! So we had to look even deeper in order to find out people feel happier when they help to those in need.

Bingo!

We understand people want to break their routine, we understand people love to help others, but we also understand our main audience don't have much time in order to break their daily routine in big ways. All those conclusions led us to a new, more specific and better solution. It felt like we won a Bingo contest.

While doing our research this week, we found out people feel self fulfillment while helping other using their own skills and abilities. This brought us to a conclusion that our technology needs to help our users help those in need.

On the next days we consulted Hagit and Ron from JOY Ventures and Galit Galperin. Both Hagit and Galit were mentors in our speed dating session and Ron is working along with Hagit in JOY Ventures as part of the outside innovation department.

We showed them our vision, we presented our ideas on how we think we could develop a technology in order to help 40-50 year old, with a very small amount of free time, to help others and in the same time make them feel self fulfillment in order to reach higher levels of emotional well-being. Eventually we decided to develop a mobile application that will create opportunities to help other "By the Way". The help will be anonymously, without any commitment and fast enough so our main audience will be able to help others on the small amount of free time they have.

Galit, Hagit and Ron helped us focusing our solution in order to create something that will attract our main audience and on the same time will make them want keep using our application.

The process is challenging and very intriguing. We are very excited on creating our wireframes this week, we can really see how our baby is being born.
