Week 7 - Ctrl+C -> Ctrl+V

You know? it's the middle of the semester now, which means we are getting on the highway now! We'll share with you it's a bit scary, challenging, but mostly we are very curios to see what things are going to be like from now on.

We continued the ideation process from last week and learned how to use a new method called "Copy From the Best". This is a well known and highly used method in the UX research industry. Basically, the method says we think about our most loved applications/products and we need to decide which feature is the our favorite feature in the application/product.

Our choices were NETFLIX, Shazam, Air-Pods and Shower.

NETFLIX - On-Demand Fun

NETFLIX made the movies and series media industry extremely accessible to every user. Every single person can find the most relevant and interesting content for them.

Shazam - One Click Playlists

Finding an unknown song is no longer a problem using Shazam. We all had this one time we heard a song we really liked and we needed something to tell us the name of the song. Shazam made it possible. Secondly, Shazam is helping us discover new artists while learning the music type we mostly shazamed. Moreover, Shazam's UX is super simple, it has only one button to operate the main action and this button is on the main screen so it leaves no place for users mistakes.

Shower - Changing the World in Less then 5 Minutes

The shower time is only time in the day we are completely alone. This is the time we can focus on ourselves, have positive thoughts, reach important conclusions about our lives and generally feel better then we felt when we walked inside.

Air-Pods - The minimal way to isolate ourselves from the world

At first, the Air-Pod's experience is a private one, you are having fun, listening to music and podcasts without interrupting anyone else.

Second, its mobility is highly valuable. You can walk around, using them without fearing their wires will tangled in each other, the device can be few meters away and it's not a problem at all.

Third, as soon as one of the Air-Pods drops everything stops. This feature also enhances comfort. This feature helps us stay on pace while listening to music or watching a video.

Our next step was to build the perfect assistant.

The assistant's job was to be helpful as much as possible in order to answer Yaeli's needs. As an example the assistant know to tell Yaeli when is the exact time she needs to finish her work in order to arrive home home on the perfect time, calculating the traffic and her children schedules. We believe that this type of assistant will help Yaeli manage her time more effectively and this will help her reach higher levels of emotional well-being.
